Arrive ready to build.
Complete these steps by Saturday evening so the live session can focus on the app.
- Check your laptop. Use Windows, macOS or Linux and check the current Android Studio system requirements. Keep your charger connected.
- Install Android Studio. Download it from the official Android site. Complete the setup wizard, including the Android SDK.
- Run a sample app. Create an Empty Activity project with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. Run it on your Android phone or an emulator. Use a physical phone if your laptop cannot comfortably run an emulator.
- Open the starter project. The download link will be in your paid-registration email. Allow Gradle to finish syncing before the session.
- Test Zoom audio. Join a Zoom test meeting. Use headphones and a stable internet connection.
- Keep your confirmation email. It contains your private session link. Join at 10:50 AM IST.
What you need to know
No prior coding or Compose experience is needed. We use a prepared project and work through the app together.
AI access
Do not purchase an AI subscription. Workshop access and a fallback demonstration will be provided. Never paste private customer information into the demo.
